One of our main workstations has popped a hard drive
and now needs a complete re-install. Current development projects are safe, as they are subject to
a rigoorous automatic backup policy. Some things have slipped the net, though, a few months of archived email
and digital photos are still trapped on the defective disk surfaces, for example.
If anyone knows of a good source for a working 40G Quantum Fireball Plus AS, please let me know
so I can try a platter-transplant to get my data out. If you've got one, I'll happily swap it
for a bigger disk.
